Citizen is non-partisan. Alignment scores reflect how representatives vote on issues you care about — not party affiliation. The same scoring methodology applies to all representatives regardless of party, chamber, or level of government. Citizen does not endorse candidates, parties, or political positions.
Our scoring algorithm is fully deterministic and transparent. It computes the mathematical distance between your stated issue preferences and each representative's voting record. No human editorial judgment enters the scoring process. AI is used only for bill classification — never for computing scores.
If you believe any content in Citizen displays partisan bias, please report it — any user can flag an error for review against the source.
