Citizen is built privacy-first. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the control you keep over your data.
Account details you provide (email or phone number). Your home address — used only to resolve your voting districts and representatives. Your chosen issues and lean settings, which power your scorecard. Basic, aggregated usage analytics to improve the product.
If you gave us your email on our launch page before Citizen opened, we still hold that address together with the options you ticked — beta program, App Store notification — and use it only to send you what you asked for. It is not tied to any account, it is never sold or shared, and there is no other list it feeds. Write to support@citizenscorecard.com at any time and we will delete it.
To find your representatives, calculate your alignment scorecard, and deliver the notifications you opt into. We do not sell your personal data, and we never share your address with third parties.
Your address is encrypted at rest and used solely to resolve districts and officials. You can update or delete it at any time from your Account.
Download a copy of your data, manage notification preferences, or permanently delete your account whenever you choose.
